Joe VizzoneWe are a small professional studio set in the Tranquil Bush land setting of the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland.
The studio is run by professional musician Joe Vizzone. Joe is Conservatory trained and passionate about all genres of music, giving your album the attention it deserves.
The Sound Sculptors Studio has a valuable resource of talented local session musicians available, should you be wanting to hire competent readers and players to assist with your recording.
The studio is located near beautiful Lake Tinaroo, host to a range of accommodation from resort style catered accommodation, to self-contained cabins on the lake. We are also a hop skip and jump from Cairns International Airport, making this a convenient opportunity for anyone wanting to get away from the hustle bustle and create in a beautiful space with room to breathe.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:

 Associate Diploma in Jazz Studies, N.S.W. State Conservatorium of Music
Various Semester/Master classes with overseas and national music tutors such as Ed Soph, Adam Nisbarm, Mel Lewis, Butch Miles, Paul Baker and  Russel Garcia
Eight years private tuition with drum tutors such as Jack Savage, Allan Turnbull, Phil Tralore, David Jones and John Collins
Other Training: Sound and Lighting engineering and design, computer skills including technical ability, IT and networking, photography, painting,  clowning and mask. Workshops in communication, meditation, stress relief, yoga, color therapy and martial arts disciplines.

The Australian Jazz Orchestra, The Conservatorium Big Band and various jazz ensembles under the direction of Don Burrows, George Goller, Roger Frampton, Paul MacNamar and John Nemie

Other bands include: Black Feather, Espirito, Hip Pocket, The Elizabeth Lord Band and Funjungle as well as a host of other national and local Cairns bands
Principal, ‘The Sound Sculptors’, a musician’s cooperative, that over the past fifteen years has helped musicians to work and improve performance skills.

First place winner in the ’98 Cairns Film Awards, Music Video category. Title “Horse Spirit”.

In May 1996, I was approached by the Johnstone Shire Cultural Association in regard to taking on the Music and Movement Directors position with the view to creating a Multicultural Orchestra for the Innisfail Harvest Festival, I accepted. The festival was a great success. I was asked back in 1997 for the Splash festival, another success. Once again the Johnstone Shire Cultural Association asked me back as Musical Director for the Waterborne Festival in 1998 and for the 50th Festival in 1999. I was commissioned to create the opening event for the 1998 Mackay Youth Fringe Festival as well as holding various Music and instrument making workshops before and during the festival.
